This blog was originally started as a way for us to document the adoption journey for our two youngest children, Tess & Jude. It was created so that they could look back someday, have the details of our journey, and feel how much they were loved long before they came into our arms. Those first blog posts are dry and sorrily lacking of photos, but full of the love for the two sweeties we'd eventually call our own.
But since that time, this blog has evolved into something else. First and foremost it is a way to document our crazy lives including the addition of our 7th child, Mimi. Big families always have something goin' on. And now, annually, at the push of a button, (or two) voilĂ , we have an instant family album, that's a lot cheaper than all that scrap booking I used to do... an album the kiddos can entertain me with when I'm in "the home." With many family and friends that live far away, the blog has also become a way to keep in touch.
Lastly, I've met so many wonderful and inspiring "bloggie" friends. Ya, sometimes it's sadly boiled down to cyber-friends in this crazy world. I hope to pass along the things that have helped ease both my soul and workload. I hope to reinforce that none of us mamas are perfect, none are without sin, and that's ok. I hope to encourage all of us to do the best that we can, with what we have at the time, and give the rest to the Lord. And I hope that the joy, the victories, the smiles and celebrations, and all the blessings that we have been bestowed with, give you a moment to reflect on your own blessings. God is good.
