In all the ways that actually matter (Thanksgiving recap)

My extended family is pretty small. Maybe that makes the having 8 kids thing make more sense. Sunny was able to join us, and having all my kids under one roof again felt so good. This Thanksgiving we only had 15 for supper. I set up my tripod with camera and programed the timer to go off every minute for a few hours. About every hour I would move the tripod. Most of these pics were taken that way, and as a part of Operation #GetMamaInTheFrame, I'm glad that I'm actually in some of them! They tell a very real account of our holiday, clutter, kids, sharing, smiles and all.

I feel like I need to apologize for the clutter. And ridiculous amount of stuff. And dirty feet. And hair that never got curled.

But this is us.
And it's pretty crazy amazing in all the ways that actually matter.
I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving too!

  1. What a great idea for getting "real life" pics. And the clutter is all part of everyday life that is just as real:). No apologies needed!

  2. That's such a cool idea! No stress recording. And what clutter? You ain't seen my house that I don't feel is ready to decorate.
