Together Called 2014
Papa and I wanted to go last year.
Unfortunately there was a root canal to deal with. And then there was a death in the family that took us to Iowa instead.
And we kicked ourselves all year long for not going.
Come February 21-23, 2014, you will find Papa and I in the mild tropics of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania (Okay maybe not so mild! I'll be the one wearing my parka, long johns and still shivering!) for the 2014 Together Called conference!
Together Called is an annual 3-day conference put on by The Sparrow Fund (and those guys totally ROCK by the way!) for husbands and wives to come together and encourage and support one another as we travel the sometimes rocky path of adoption.
Papa and I are not only attending, but we'll be leading one of the breakout groups and discussing blending newly adopted children with your other children. Well... actually... we're just gonna claim that as we have gotten older we totally realize that we don't actually know nothin' 'bout anything and just pray a lot. Okay maybe we actually have learned a couple of things along the way and want to pass on the good and the bad and the ugly about blending families! But you get the idea, right? Whatever it is, we are totally humbled that Together Called would have us present amongst the amazing speakers that they have lined up for the conference! Us? Really?
Last year's conference was such a success that the demand to attend this year is pretty high! If you're interested in attending the conference, you'll need to enter in a lottery by tomorrow (Friday) night! Click here to get more information.
PS--How does one keep warm in the Arctic tundra? And when I say Arctic tundra I mean Lancaster County, PA in February. This desert rat will be out of her element.
