I'm thinking we could go over
---uploading and organizing with Lightroom
---how to do a quick "clean edit" of photographs
---how to upload, create and use presets
---black & white conversions
---spot removal
---sharpening and reducing grain
---exporting to your computer, Flickr, and Facebook
---easily moving back and forth between Photoshop and Lightroom
---watermarking
In short, we'd be going over the things that I do to my own photographs that help this busy mama edit her photographs with very limited time.
If you think this is something you'd be interested in, would you let me know? I'm just trying to see if there's enough interest to put something together.

Yes! I would love to take a class like this! I asked for Lightroom for Christmas :)
ReplyDeleteYes, yes, yes, yes
ReplyDeleteYes- for sure. I need quick editing tips!
ReplyDeleteYes- for sure. I need quick editing tips!
ReplyDeleteYes!! I am just getting into photography and would LOVE to learn all I can. :)
ReplyDeleteYes, I would totally be interested. How much would it cost? Or would it be a free course?
ReplyDeleteIt would likely be a 6-ish week class with several lessons so there would be a charge. But I want to keep the fee reasonable too.
DeleteSounds like something I would be interested in.
ReplyDeleteYes!
ReplyDeleteWhoops! Somehow went to Facebook: I would sign up in a NY minute! I am lost in Lightroom!
ReplyDeleteYes, most definitely interested!
ReplyDeleteMy first instinct would be to say a resounding "Yes!" especially if it could be timed with the free trial so I'd be able to get a real feel for LightRoom.
ReplyDeleteThat's my thought too, Marty. And after talking about it with a couple folks I think the class will be limited to 30 days to exactly coincide with the free LR trial. Then before buying LR folks can get a good feel for LR and at the end of the class they can decide to buy it or not.
DeleteMaybe - I know how to do some of those, but.. not all! :D
ReplyDeleteYes, husband is DEFINITELY interested! :)
ReplyDeleteI would be interested! I just got my first DSLR about two months ago and am lost in general! I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact I haven't had time to even read the manual with a 2 year old running around...LOL! But I am not sure whether to buy Photioshop or Lightroom so this would be a great trial!
ReplyDeleteKieren-just my 2 cents but you can check this out

I would be interested.
DeleteYES!!!! I would love to take a class like that!
ReplyDeleteNancy, I would also be interested in this! I only edit in PS and have purposely left LR alone because I didn't feel like trying to learn a new program. Keep me posted on dates/fees.
ReplyDeleteNancy...I would love to try this. I have used Photoshop in the past but would love to be able to do quick edits as Photoshop is to cumbersome for me...One question tough do you shoot in all RAW? Also, I am dreaming of getting the Canon 5d Mark ii or iii....just need to save my pennies
ReplyDeleteYes, I shoot in RAW. It has the ability to recover SO much more detail as it's not compressed like JPEG. However RAW must be edited, but I edit everything anyway.
DeleteRe a 5D-I saved my pennies for 2 years and sold everything not nailed down on Craig's list! Canon sells refurbs if you keep your eye out. Keep saving!
nancy
The Mark II's are very reasonably priced now that the Mark III's are out! I just upgraded to a Mark III and although I love it, the Mark II was wonderful for the 3 years I used it!
DeleteNancy I would be intrested in this. I have use PS and really was more cumbersome than I wanted to deal with. Question do shoot all RAW? Also, I am itching for a full frame DSLR trying to decided how many pennies I need to save for a Canon 5D mark ii or mark iii
ReplyDeleteI would be interested. Shooting raw and LR are next on my list..fun to be in class with you!
ReplyDeleteYes!! I would be interested!! Was reading comments about the MARK II and gotta say....that's my DREAM CAMERA!!!!
ReplyDeleteIf after our Jan. class you think I have enough of a clue to try this one, I'm in! :-)
ReplyDeleteYES!!! I purchased lightroom 2 and it is sitting on the shelf cause I have no idea what to do with it. PLEASE wait till the middle of February to start the class:) I just got through open heart surgery with our 5yr. old daughter and we have two sons getting married. One in Jan. and one in Feb. Then I think I could manage it. If you need to start earlier...maybe you would consider doing another one later??? pretty please.
