The summer move is upon us very very soon. So my lover and I are still not properly acquainted.

I recently found your blog from the No Hands But Ours site. I really have enjoyed reading about your recent adventures in China to bring your daughter home. You have such a lovely family.

Congratulations on your new toy. My hubby was gracious enough to get me one this past Christmas. We've been slowly getting acquainted too. I can't wait to read and see how you like yours. For some reason I'm really having some difficulty figuring this one out. I thought maybe it was because I'm still using my old lens'. I don't know if I want to invest in one of the "L" lens' just yet.

8/07 Tess & Jude born and abandoned in a hospital in SaiGon
11/07 US govt issues statement of concern re VN adoptions and suspends 2 VN provinces for unethical adoptions
12/07 Jude has 1st surgery in VN to correct feet deformities
1/23/08 US govt issues warning to families adopting from VN
2/25/08 Receive CFCs
2/29/08 Our agency issues a memo warning families of the uncertainty of VN adoption and advises them to have a back-up plan
3/16/08 USCIS announces problems with hospital of our baby's birth and "blocks" all adoptions from this hospital
4/11/08 "official" referral date
4/25/08 VN gov't announces close of adoption program to US citizens effective 9/01/08
5/21/08 I-600 delivered to USCIS in HCMC
5/26/08 Final approval from VN Adoption Office
5/29/08 I-600 receipt acknowledgement
6/20/08 Final approval from HCMC Justice Dept. and G&R date
8/03/08 Jude 1st birthday
8/21/08 USCIS requires a new addendum from us
8/26/08 I-600 approval!!!!!
8/30/08 TRAVEL TO VIETNAM!
8/31/08 Tess's 1st birthday
9/01/08 The VN adoption program will close to new U.S. families
9/01/08 Receive babies from orphanage!!!!!!!
9/03/08 Giving and Receiving Ceremony-This is the day we legally GET our children FOREVER!
9/04/08 Have baby's medical exam
9/05/08 Receive babies' passports
9/07/08 Receive babies' visas
9/10/08 Travel home to USA / Jujube & Tess are U.S.A. citizens!
11/08 Jude has 2nd surgery (1st in US)
6/11/09 U.S. "readoption"
