I'm concisely working on back lighting. Sunny was "going out" as 18-year-olds tend to do a lot, and was game for me to practice a few shots as the sun was setting, while she waited for her ride. The direct sun light is about 45 degrees off the subject. This was the only pic worth salvaging. The rest were awful.
I always wanted to be a blond.
And totally at ease getting my picture taken.
And drop dead gorgeous.

That is a beautiful picture!
ReplyDeleteLOL, gorgeous capture in the sinking sunlight!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful girl!
ReplyDeleteShe's gorgeous. ::sigh:: to be young again...and gorgeous.
ReplyDeletebacklighting? what specifically is troubling you with it? Are you wanting the halo around her hair, getting too much sun flare? getting too many bright spots and dark shadows?
and for the record, for every photo I love, I tend to have many that I think are terrible. ;)
Breathtaking photo!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it fun when you have a willing model? And a gorgeous one at that?!
ReplyDeleteI'm working on backlighting, too...though really, full sun, so not as directional/dramatic.
Your image of Sunny is just stunning.
Absolutely gorgeous!! Love, love, love this photo.
ReplyDeleteThis is BREATHTAKING!!!!!! What a stunner!
ReplyDeleteFlat-out gorgeous! Both your pic & your daughter! LOVE!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant work - and back in the 'old days' we'd have been happy with one keeper on a roll! ;)
ReplyDeleteAnd with a model like that - it's hard to believe there weren't more keepers!
hugs - aus and co.
That girl steals my breath away. SO beautiful.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful photo of a gorgeous young girl... Ah, to be about mumble years younger...!
ReplyDeleteOne question, though... was it intentional or just a typo that out of a bunch of "awful" pictures, this was the only one worth "savaging" instead of "salvaging"...?!?
B-D
