The Crazy 9?

How to start...
How to say it...
I want to shout it from the roof tops!
Each is a celebration of joy and love and His blessings.
Each is just a special as the first.  I don't know how it's possible that a mama's heart can continue to expand this many folds, but it does.

After the abundant blessings we received from the adoption on Tess and Jude, we felt compelled to pursue special needs adoption again!  So we prayed.  A lot!  We were scared of His guidance to the questions we asked.  Stepping out in faith and looking even more different can be a scary thing.

Life is hard.  Juggling the needs of 6 kiddos is time consuming.  Money is always a concern.  There is stress.  Sometimes we often fall short.  Our family and our children, contrastingly, provide us with a constant source of retreat and joy and wonder and love.  In these tough times, it is the blessings of our family that have provided us with the biggest sense of relief and joy.

So here we go again.

Ordinary Miracles & the Crazy 8 9?

We've been paper chasing for months now (no small feat for those in the adoption community) and have hit the wait phase.

wait

wait

wait

waiting for our agency to match our family with a child.

Who knows where this journey will ultimately end.  We've been down this path before, and we're experienced enough to know that it doesn't always end with a child.  But we have committed to the Lord to follow the path He has guided us to placed before us.  One step at a time...

The 411 for all you linear, detail-oriented folks like me-
China is the place.
Special needs is again where we feel called.
Boy or girl doesn't matter.  It'll be a tie breaker.
We've asked to be matched to a kiddo younger than T&J by at least 1 year.'

Sunny and Liv were hoping for an toddler African boy with a French accent and fabulous hair.  I had to break the bad news to them.

Oh my goodness!  I am so excited I am giddy!

  1. Hallelujah! I've heard nothing but wonderful things about the China Special Needs program. That a child is not only going to get a family, but YOUR family, is the best news of the day! Prayers for you and him/her that the ride ahead until the time s/he is home is smoother, shorter, and less stressful than the last time.
