Crazy 8 Highlights--SoCal, Here we come!

  • The Crazy 8 SoCal tour 2010 road trip is quickly approaching.  We cleaned the car this weekend and the packing is in full swing.  Who in their right mind would pack an SUV to its maximum occupancy and travel 1200 miles by car with 2 hormonal teenage girls, 2 pesky boys, and 2 unpredictable 2-year-olds in tow?  So a word to the SoCal contingency, if we look a little frazzled by the time we get there, you'll know why.  Maybe you could have a glass of red wine waiting for me.  The laundry is caught up.  The kiddos are counting down the days. 5... 4... 3... 2...
  • For anyone following the Boo with Grace saga, yes, Boo is still completely memorized with "his Gracey," as he calls her.  Those of you who don't know our Boo, this sweet boy of ours is a total teddy bear.  Quiet and modest and has a quick smile.  He's just a very sweet boy and has been a joy to parent since the day he was born.  And to be completely honest, even though this crush of his is one of the absolutest most cutest things that my kiddos has ever done, I'm a little taken back by it now that it has gone on almost a year now.  None of my other kiddos showed interest in a "relationship" at the ripe ol' age of 7.  And in his eyes, Grace is not just his buddy.  He blushes when her name is mentioned.  "His Gracey" is coming over for a play date soon.  He asked for help picking out his "nicest clothes," and asked me if I thought she'd like to play PS3 or climb the tree in our front yard.
  • Coming soon... of course more pictures of PC, (Just a few today to tide you over.  I love the little star of the bottom of his foot!) and a new Vietnamese recipe I worked on this weekend.  Yummy winter comfort food, but I probably won't get around to posting it till after our trip.  Oh yea... and the cutest little Valentine's post is coming too.  It's the sweetest thing that I'm saving for this Feb 14.

  • And I'm not sure how much I will be posting during our Crazy 8 SoCal tour 2010 road trip.  I'd like to try to post everyday during our 5-day trip for Grammy, so she can confirm her suspicions.  But let's be honest, I'd also like to drop 30 lbs and have a pool boy name Sven, and that's probably not going to happen.  Only time will tell.

  1. Yay for SoCal!! Do you get here on Wed or Thurs? You want a glass of red wine or a bottle?!

  2. Catie-We'll be there on Wed to visit the mouse for a couple days, then over to see you on Fri. A whole bottle might be necessary so as not to resort to pharmaceuticals.

  3. Enjoy that trip and that bottle of red. What absolutely precious baby photos.
